Quebec-Burkina Faso meeting

An international meeting was held on February 15 between students at École St. Viateur in Burkina Faso and two classes in Quebec: Hélène Dufour's multi-age class (René-Lévesque School Board) and a secondary 2 class from Protic (Découvreurs School Board). Students exchanged on their research with respect to air pollution. They asked each other questions and reflected on alternative energy sources as well as the importance of studying this topic for the future.

Second KBIP meeting

Another KBIP meeting was held between two classes on January 24: Daniel Lebreux's class from Gaspé (Quebec) and Michel Lamarche's class from Montréal (Quebec). Their students had the opportunity to exchange their ideas and update their respective investigations. We congratulate the participating classes and wish them continued success in their future investigations!

Call for international partnerships

Greetings!

At the beginning of this new year, many classes are seeking partners for collaboration on networked activities.

Videos from the Transfer Session

The 10th Transfer Session of the RNS project was held on October 6 and 7 at Laval University in Quebec City. Videos of presentations and workshops were available on  the web page for the 2011 Transfer Session.

First KBIP meeting (Part II) also well attended!

Part II of the first KBIP meeting for the 2011-2012 year was also a success. Unlike Part I, most of the participants were from high school.

Welcome to KBIP, Alberta!

We would like to welcome a new school and province to our project: Notre-Dame- des-Monts, a francophone school in Alberta (http://ndm.cscfsa.ab.ca/).

First KBIP meeting a success!

On December 13, KBIP held Part 1 of its first international meetings to kick-off this year's theme: air and winds.

The participants involved Hélène Dufour's class (grades 3-4-5-6) from Quebec and Violeta Castillo's class (grade 6) from Mexico. Each class presented their research topic: the students from Mexico are working on the air pollution of Mexico city and the students from Québec are working on winds. Students also had the opportunity to ask each other questions.

International meeting between Burkina Faso and Quebec

On December 7, 8 and 9, meetings between three classes from Burkina Faso (Jacqueline Dembele's class and Mr. Zerbo's class) and six classes from the Rives-du-Saguenay School Board.

Planning for first international meeting

We would like to organize a first meeting next week to allow classes to present themselves and share their investigations on air and wind. This meeting would be held on Tuesday, December 13 and Wednesday, December 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. (UTC -05:00) by VIA (eer.sviesolutions.com).

We invite you to participate in order to enhance exchanges and establish potential partnerships. Two classes from Quebec have already confirmed their presence: one from a primary school and another one from high school.
